Barbara Corcoran – Shark Tank Investor

Meet Barbara Corcoran

This big bucks self-starter's credentials include straight D's in high school & college and 20 jobs by the time she'd turned 23.

Don't believe us?

Now what would you say if we told you it was Barbara Corcoran's next job that would make her one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country, when she borrowed $1,000 from her boyfriend and quit her job as a waitress to start a tiny real estate company in New York City?

Over the next 25 years, she'd parlay that $1,000 loan into a five-billion-dollar real estate business and the largest and best known brand in the industry.

As a speaker, Barbara brings her front-lines experience and infectious energy to each person in the audience. They laugh, cry and learn how to become more successful. Motivational, inspirational and sometimes outrageous, Barbara Corcoran's tell-it-like-it-is attitude is a refreshing approach to success.

The author of If You Don't Have Big Breasts, Put Ribbons on Your Pigtails, an unlikely business book that has become a national best-seller, Barbara credits her struggles in school and her mother's kitchen-table wisdom for her innovation and huge success in the business world. The book is a fresh, frank look at how to succeed in life and business, and is as heartwarming as it is smart and motivating.

Barbara is the popular real estate contributor for the Today Show and CNBC. She writes a weekly real estate column for the Daily News and monthly columns for MORE Magazine and Redbook. In 2008, she released her second book, Nextville: Amazing Places to Live the Rest of Your Life, to great reviews.

    Chris,

I have only seen two episodes of shark tank and loved it. It is ironic I was looking through these postings and saw yours. I too, am from Grand Junction and have an idea that is my passion and would love to see it in the market. I spend every waking moment doing research about marketing and such. If you have any tips you can email me at dawnateal@bresnan.net

Hello sharks We are a startup company looking to get funding of 25 Million dollars To buy a turnkey dairy farm milking 600 head of cows at this time and are wanting to setup a anaerobic digester and greenoil from algae that would produce 12000 to 10000 gallon per day or more. If you would like to contact me my email is on here. Thank You. We would be looking at giving up 35% of the Hole business if interested.

    Dear Barabra;
Just an ordinary person who seeks to further one’s patent. Paid to had a patent search performed and the idea through their search indicates the potential of my idea to go global.

Documentation provided but unable to even get it to the Las Vegas show coming in July (due to the lack of financial means). Had the possiblity of one through a patent firm, to seek the venture and marketing.

The product in its design flew through all stages of their review and seach.

Any ideas would be highly taken and worked to get this and potentially other idea that would be as marketable.

    Thank You

    Dear Barbara,
I do believe I have a wonderful new invention. However, I have idea how or where to start. I know if I dont get my idea out there to someone who knows what to do it, it will be gone. It has to do with Solar Power. I have researched and have found nothing made like it on the markets. I was hoping you would be able to give me the advise I need to get me started. You are the best, so I came to you.
    Thank You,
    Idona Corter
